The festival »Theater der Dinge« is one of the most important festivals for contemporary figure and object theatre in Germany, celebrating its 15th edition titled »Welt als Modell«. Since the year 2000, it has presented new artistic developments in the genre each autumn, deliberately crossing genre boundaries into fields such as performance, visual art, dance, digital art and music. The programme features productions, installations and exhibitions that use puppets, objects, miniatures and simulations to question our present day. Productions from nine countries play at venues including Schaubude Berlin, Podewil, TATWERK and Theater Strahl.
