About
Leben im Mittelalter is a permanent exhibition at the open-air museum Museumsdorf Düppel, run by the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin. It looks at the everyday life of the rural population around Berlin roughly 800 years ago and at the medieval village that once stood on the site of today's museum. The displays cover how people lived and worked, built houses, produced tools and clothing and grew their food. Interactive stations and audio points where fictional villagers speak give visitors a sense of this rural past.
