Alltag in der DDR is a permanent exhibition at the Museum in der Kulturbrauerei. It is run by the Stiftung Haus der Geschichte and covers daily life in the East German state during the 1970s and 1980s, at work, in public and at home. Original objects, historical documents, contemporary testimonies and film footage show how the SED regime shaped everyday life and where people found room for themselves. Themed rooms such as a pub, a living room and a workbench invite visitors to sit down and explore.
