About
“Geschenkt. Erzählt. Bewahrt.” is a special exhibition at the Bezirksmuseum Marzahn-Hellersdorf. It was curated by Marie Pommer and Fabio Huuk during their traineeship. In the project “Erzähl mir dein Objekt!”, people from the district have been bringing personal objects and their stories to the museum since June 2025, and the exhibition shows a selection of these keepsakes, many of them from the GDR years and the period of the Wende and after. Objects, photographs, personal recollections and audio stations with the donors' own accounts make clear how closely everyday things are linked to individual experiences.
