Let Them Eat Chaos
Deutsches Theater, Schumannstraße 13a, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
«Let Them Eat Chaos» is a theatre evening based on a long poem that is also the second studio album by the British poet and spoken-word artist Kae Tempest, in a stage version by Sebastian Nübling and Christopher-Fares Köhler, translated from the English by Johanna Davids. It is directed by Sebastian Nübling. It is 4:18 in the morning on a street somewhere in London: seven people lie awake, driven by worry, memories, loneliness or loss, and their paths have never crossed – until now, as a storm gathers on the horizon. Performed in the Kammer of the Deutsches Theater, the production weaves poetry, social analysis and musical energy into a dense, lyrical composition about alienation, social inequality and the emotional exhaustion of late-modern society, while opening a space for hope: for encounter, change and a different way of living together.
