Primetime

Primetime is a US feature film from 2026. Directed by Lance Oppenheim and starring Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Anna Faris and Skyler Gisondo, it tells of reporter Chris Hansen, the face of the reality format 'To Catch a Predator', which lures pedophiles using decoys and exposes them on camera. What begins as a moral crusade becomes a machine of power: the team's ambition grows into obsession, Hansen is haunted by demonic visions, and the hunt for a prominent offender leads the team to conservative Texas. Inspired by true events, the film takes up a case that made television history and sparked societal debate.
