About

"Shibari for Beginners: drop-in class" is a taster workshop for absolute beginners curious about shibari who are not ready to commit to a full six-week course. The class is led by Gestalta, the owner of the studio, who brings nearly two decades of experience in both tying and being tied. Participants learn fundamental techniques for applying rope to the body and essential rope-handling skills such as maintaining tension and moving the body of the person being tied, as well as how rope can build a session, communication and play. No experience, no rope and no partner are required; nothing is mandatory, and you can come alone or with someone.
