So This Is Paris

About

A silent film night at the cinema: 'So This Is Paris' from 1926 is shown with live piano accompaniment, and admission is free. The comedy comes from director Ernst Lubitsch, who in 1926 was voted one of the ten most important filmmakers in the world. In Paris, two married couples cheat on each other without knowing it: Georgette is married to a rather unexciting actor and dancer, while Suzanne, who lives across the street, dreams of someone more thrilling than her lackluster spouse. Each woman begins a dream affair with the other's husband – everybody cheats everybody and everybody gets something out of it.
