About
STIMMEN is a multimedia exhibition about the history of democracy, the present and participation. It was created by volunteers in the participation project „Demokratiegeschichte(n)“ together with historians of forum 1848, supported by the Stiftung Orte der deutschen Demokratiegeschichte. The contributions combine historical sources with personal views on the history of the cemetery and the revolutions of 1848 and 1918, from revolutionary demands and the women's movement to personal experiences. The cemetery of the March Fallen, which since 1848 commemorates people who fought for political rights and freedom, is at once the setting and part of the exhibition.
