Whalefall
About
Whalefall is a survival thriller that tells a desperate fight for survival with immense imagery. After his father's death at sea, Jay Gardiner travels to the California coast to find his remains, only to be swallowed by a giant sperm whale. Trapped inside the sea creature with just one hour of oxygen left, a race against time begins in which every breath counts. Directed by Brian Duffield and starring Josh Brolin and Austin Abrams, the film shows how the very hard lessons of his father might become Jay's chance of rescue.

Critics
6.1Good
Critics praise the claustrophobic suspense, striking visuals and the lead performance. They fault the sentimental, overstuffed father-son flashbacks that dilute tension and depth.
