About
A screening of the film "Bugsy Malone" at the Prince Charles Cinema. Alan Parker's 1976 musical comedy, starring Jodie Foster, Scott Baio and Florrie Dugger, is set in New York in 1929, where the city is divided by gang warfare: Dandy Dan's mob terrorises the district with splurge guns, while his rival Fat Sam runs the successful Grand Slam Speakeasy.

Critics
6.9Good
Reviewers praise the film's unique child-cast concept, wit, catchy songs, clever design and the child actors' performances. Some find the premise occasionally feels like a school production and that the invention sags, though most find the charm outweighs any artificiality.
