Chicago is a long-running stage musical set in the dazzling, decadent world of 1920s Chicago. It tells of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her lover, and Velma Kelly, a fellow diva charged with killing her husband and sister; the two women dodge their murder convictions by hiring slick lawyer Billy Flynn and sparking a national media frenzy that puts them on the road to stardom. With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, the show features songs such as 'All That Jazz', 'Cell Block Tango' and 'Razzle Dazzle'. Winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy, it is the longest running American musical in Broadway and West End history, and this production stars Alexandra Burke, Denise Van Outen and Duncan James.
