About

"Ivanov" is a play at The Bridge Theatre, a modern staging of Anton Chekhov's comic drama. It follows Nikolai Ivanov, an unhappy government official caught in a midlife crisis, debts and a love affair, searching for an escape from his misery. The bold new adaptation is by Simon Stone, who relocates the 1887 play to the modern age. Chris Pine stars as Nikolai, making his London stage debut.
