About

Lightstreams is a stage play about a migrant couple, Maurice and Hermia, who have made their home in the UK. Written by Mary Mazzilli and directed by Richard Bland, it follows care worker Maurice as he is torn between the residents of an elderly care home and his own family when a global crisis forces him to live there full-time. Developed through interviews with migrant health and social care workers across London, Essex and the South East, the play explores migration, care, racism, mental health and belonging. Lumenis Theatre and Turnpike Productions present this production, whose 2 November performance is followed by a post-show Q&A with the writer.
