About
Short Cuts is a 1993 comedy-drama offering a multi-storied, fish-eyed look at the human condition against the backdrop of contemporary middle-class LA, where twenty-two characters intersect, profoundly and fleetingly, through each other's lives. It runs the emotional gamut from disturbing to humorous. The film was directed by Robert Altman and stars Tim Robbins, Julianne Moore, Andie MacDowell and Tom Waits.

Critics
7.6Very good
Critics praise Altman's skillful weaving of ensemble stories and his inspired direction of a rich cast. Some fault uneven performances, stilted writing, exploitative elements, and unlikable characters.
