About

A two-venue group exhibition showing work by 40 contemporary artists, with an installment at the Lehman College Art Gallery. It is curated by Melissa Brown, who teaches in the Department of Art at Lehman College, CUNY, and John O'Connor, faculty in the Visual and Studio Arts Program at Sarah Lawrence College. Does This Taste Funny? explores humor in contemporary art as a way of shifting perception, with artists organized into six thematic groupings spanning the body, material absurdity, politics, language, art humor, and technology. Elizabeth Murray and Peter Saul are among the participating artists.
