Honeycomb

About
The film 'Honeycomb' is a screening of Carlos Saura's psychological drama from 1969. Married couple Teresa and Pedro, played by Geraldine Chaplin and Per Oscarsson, live in contentment in their chicly modern, minimalist home until a delivery of Teresa's family's furniture jostles something loose in her mind. Teresa then presses Pedro to join her in a series of 'games' carrying the casual sadism of childhood but very real adult consequences. Saura's first English-language feature is a harrowing vision of shifting power dynamics and mutually assured destruction played out in a conjugal hell.

Critics
The critic finds the film interesting, praising its odd psychological experimentation and Chaplin's central creative role. But it faults confusing plot details and sterile execution that make the story hard to follow.
