About

SCAPE is a play performed at The Tank, a venue on West 36th Street in New York City. It is made by POPE JOAN, a multidisciplinary theatre company co-founded by Kyndall Sillanpaa, who writes and directs, and Sophie Vincent, who performs. On the last night before her childhood home is sold, a young woman gets a call from her dead father and must confront his spirit and the child-self she buried with him. The play is anchored by home videos from the creator's childhood and newspaper articles written by her late father, forming a haunted reckoning where the past won't stay dead.
