Sitting in the sun

The exhibition “Sitting in the sun” at the Helmhaus juxtaposes visible and invisible works of art. It shows 724 works by more than 500 artists from six public collections that have not been exhibited for 50 years or more. Alongside them, nine narrators tell, live and from person to person, the stories of five new works by seven younger artists that are not displayed but only described. The exhibition is also about doing nothing: perhaps doing nothing is the most important thing we have ever done.
