About

Becoming Kim is a documentary about the intercultural marriage of the filmmaker with her Korean husband Jeong Rae. The screening is the opening of a film festival, followed by a talk with the director, who will be present. With humour and openness, the film shows how different expectations collide between Germany and Korea, family and career. When Jeong Rae decides to return to Korea and open a chicken restaurant there, their shared life is put to the test.
