About

„En Route To“ is a film about the high school student Yoonji, who became pregnant by her homeroom teacher before he suddenly disappeared. Believing he will return if she has an abortion, she steals her roommate Gyeongseon's money and sets out to obtain illegal abortion pills. Made by Jaein Yoo with Jiwon Lee, Sun Jang and Subin Sim, the film tells of young people whose desire for self-determination keeps colliding with their relationships, longings and inner contradictions. It does not reduce subjects such as the female body, pregnancy and abortion to simple slogans or social debates.
