About
NIKO is a feature film set in a near-future Seoul that has become a dystopia. Its protagonist Niko, played by Tiffany Young in her first leading role in a feature film, helps people who are locked out or whose doors are broken while dreaming of writing her own screenplay. One day she disappears without a trace, and in a world of constant control where resistance counts as a crime, her longing for true love strikes many as strange. Julien Levy's film uses its special atmosphere and visual texture to draw an image of Seoul that is familiar and yet alien.
