About
Full Metal Jacket is a 1987 film by Stanley Kubrick. The Clockwork Kubrick series screens it at the Babylon cinema in Berlin. It follows US Marines from brutal boot camp into the chaos of the Vietnam War. Kubrick delivers a cold, razor-sharp portrait of the machinery of war and the dehumanization of soldiers.

Critics
7.8Very good
Critics praise Kubrick's cold precision, sharp dialogue and the actors' forceful performances, especially the drill sergeant. Faults centre on the weaker second half in Vietnam, seen as less original and morally muddled.
