Bitte mit B
Komische Oper Berlin, Behrenstraße 55-57, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
„Bitte mit B“ is a symphony concert opening the concert season. The renowned conductor Ádám Fischer presents the great three Bs of classical music: Beethoven's Egmont Overture, Bartók's „Der wunderbare Mandarin“ and Brahms' First Symphony, which Hans von Bülow reverently called „Beethoven's 10th Symphony“. Bartók's work triggered one of the greatest theatre scandals of the 20th century at its Cologne premiere, whose 100th anniversary is celebrated in November 2026; Brahms' symphony also marks its 150th birthday there.
