Lügen über meine Mutter
About
Lügen über meine Mutter is a feature film directed by Aron Lehmann, starring Rosalie Thomass, Golo Euler and Elise Lindner. Set in the West German provinces of the 1980s, it tells of the love between mother and child: father Werner becomes obsessed with the idea that his wife Cornelia's weight is to blame for everything denied to him. Told from the daughter Ela's perspective, the film follows Cornelia's struggle for self-determination and dignity as she stands up to the expectations around her. It asks who here is really lying to whom.
