About
"Mirae kh Rhee Weiterreichen" is an exhibition at the Humboldt Forum. In it, the interdisciplinary, research-based artist Mirae kh Rhee questions who collected what and why, and what messages collections convey. Starting from her own diasporic identity, she examines collecting practices between Europe and Asia and analyses elitist concepts of collection that serve the demonstration of power and the construction of identity. The presentation is curated by Uta Rahman Steinert of the Museum für Asiatische Kunst in cooperation with the artist and forms part of a long-term project with decolonising approaches.
