About
„Pension Schöller“ is a stage comedy performed at Theater am Park in Berlin-Biesdorf. Wealthy pensioner Klapproth travels to Berlin, where his nephew Alfred promises to show him an asylum for the insane in exchange for money to start a business, but instead takes him to the Pension Schöller, a place full of eccentric city characters whom Klapproth takes for lunatics. When the whole Berlin crowd later shows up at his door back in the provinces, the fun takes its toll. It is a fast-paced comedy about sensationalism, projections and the urge to seek out the strange until it breaks into one's own life.
