About
"Polaris" is a surreal mocumentary theatre piece between fiction and filmed documentation. It is a project by Jan-Christoph Gockel, produced by the Deutsches Theater Berlin in co-production with the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen and the Théâtre National du Luxembourg. It tells of a crime in Antarctica, where a researcher stabbed his colleague after the ending of a book was revealed to him. For it, Gockel, documentary filmmaker Lion Bischof and actors Julia Gräfner and Wolfram Koch travelled to the Neumayer-Station III.
