For the premiere talk, Staatsballett Berlin opens the doors of the Deutsche Oper Berlin's parterre foyer to offer a look behind the scenes of the ballet classic Der Nussknacker before its premiere. Artistic director and choreographer Christian Spuck reveals what defines his version of the classic and gives insights into the costume worlds. Conductor Dominic Limburg discusses Tchaikovsky's score, dramaturg Claus Spahn traces the footsteps of E.T.A. Hoffmann, and dancers report from their daily rehearsals. The talk is moderated by dramaturg Katja Wiegand.
