About

"Prima Facie" is a theatre play presented as its German-language premiere at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. The award-winning monologue was written by Australian author Suzie Miller, directed by András Dömötör and performed by Mercy Dorcas Otieno. It follows Tessa, a successful criminal defence lawyer from a working-class background who, after being sexually assaulted by a colleague, turns from defender to accuser. The play asks whether the legal system she believed in can protect her.
