About
A theatre world premiere on the Kammer stage of the Deutsches Theater Berlin. Director Anica Tomić, who lives in Croatia, has adapted Margarethe von Trotta's film about Rosa Luxemburg for the stage together with author Jelena Kovačić and continues the story into the present day. The piece traces how Luxemburg became an icon of the European left and asks how her thinking can be read in a time of militarisation, rising nationalism and war becoming conceivable again. Based on the film by Margarethe von Trotta and the graphic novel by Kate Evans, in a translation by Ivna Žic.
