About

Straßenverkehr is a permanent exhibition at the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin. The museum shows it across 1,400 square metres under the title „Mensch in Fahrt“, spanning the way from the pre-industrial ox cart to the mass spread of the car in the 20th century. Eleven themed islands cover travel and motor racing, ingenious and failed inventions, and the road into the automobile age. Openable red boxes on the walls, a comic trail, an audio play and large-scale night photographs by Charlotte Sonntag add further perspectives.
