The Game

'The Game' is a participatory performance in which the audience, in small groups, builds its own livestock farm on a game board. Behind the piece is the group Trickster-p, long-standing collaborators of Theater der Dinge, who previously captivated Berlin audiences with a performative board game. The cleverly designed rules lead directly into the mechanisms of modern economies and force players to choose between profit maximisation, ecological and ethical values. Conversations and discussions amongst the audience are an integral part of the performance; attendance is not possible without participation, but the audience decide the level of their involvement.
