An opening reception celebrating the exhibition STACKS at an art gallery in Chelsea. It presents new and recent work by jazz pianist, composer, and artist Jason Moran, marking his third solo show with the gallery. The exhibition explores the histories, objects, gestures, and ideas that shape jazz and its cultural landscape through works on paper, sculpture, video, and collected jazz ephemera. At its center is a new sculpture of two upright parlor pianos stacked on top of each other.
