Le rayon vert

«Le rayon vert» is a 1986 film by Éric Rohmer. It tells the story of Delphine, a Parisian secretary whose summer holiday plans have fallen through. She sets off on an aimless odyssey across France, alone in the mountains at times, lonely on the beach at others, occasionally breaking into tears. In the end she sees the green glow over the sea, visible only on cloudless clear days in the second after sunset.
