The special exhibition "50 Jahre Freunde der Domäne Dahlem. Perspektiven auf das ehrenamtliche Engagement für die Domäne Dahlem" is shown in the Baroque Hall of the manor house and in the open-air grounds. It shows what role civic engagement has played since the association was founded in 1976 in the creation, development and present-day significance of the Domäne Dahlem. Video interviews with contemporary witnesses take centre stage, complemented by historical objects, photographs and documents as well as display panels in the open-air grounds. The exhibition honours the commitment of more than 100 volunteers who continue to shape the Domäne Dahlem as an open place of education and encounter.
