About
"Für immer 16" is a queer punk tragicomedy shot in Super 8 with music by the band "Stereo Total". Director and screenwriter Brezel Göring adapted it from a novel by singer and drummer Françoise Cactus, with whom he formed the German-French art-punk duo. It follows three friends – Charlotte (Lilith Stangenberg), Helena and Oskar (Chang Wang) – who go on holiday together, argue constantly and actually just want to shoot an underground film, until the neighbour Rudolf sparks jealousy. With post-dubbed dialogue, slapstick and comic-like characters, it becomes an absurd, wildly inventive love letter to the "Stereo Total" universe and to Françoise Cactus.

Critics
6.1Good
Critics praise the anarchic punk charm, the Super 8 aesthetics, Stereo Total's music and the refusal to grow up. They fault the thin story and the deliberately amateurish, silly style.
