Ismene, Schwester von
Deutsches Theater, Schumannstraße 13a, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
"Ismene, Schwester von" is a one-hour theatre monologue at Deutsches Theater Berlin. The play by Dutch author Lot Vekemans, directed by Stephan Kimmig, centres on Ismene, the forgotten sister of Antigone, who after three thousand years finally confronts her own story. Susanne Wolff performs the role, for which she was nominated for the theatre prize DER FAUST in 2022 in the film version of the piece. It also features Creon, who after the great Antigone drama is nursed by Ismene until his death.
