About

„Leben und Werk“ is the permanent exhibition at the ZiLLEMUSEUM in the historic Nikolaiviertel. It is devoted to the life and work of the painter, draftsman and photographer Heinrich Zille (1859–1929), Berlin's 80th honorary citizen, whose images captured the everyday lives and hardships of ordinary Berliners. Original drawings, sketches and lithographs are on display alongside Zille's rare photographs. A cinema room screens the film „Det war Zille sein Milljöh“ by Irmgard von zur Mühlen.
