About
The documentary "Die Eiche - Mein Zuhause" portrays an old oak as a refuge and home for animals such as a squirrel, weevils, jays and ants, who squabble, celebrate and weather disasters there. The award-winning directors Laurent Charbonnier and Michel Seydoux produced the nature film without any accompanying commentary. Richly detailed imagery and imaginative editing celebrate the grandeur of the tree and its habitat right on our doorstep. The film is made for the big cinema screen and recommended from age 6.

Critics
7.4Very good
Critics praise the outstanding cinematography, poetic imagery and imaginative commentary-free editing. They fault its repetitiveness and the partly staged or edit-created animal interactions.
