Die Möllner Briefe
About
A screening of „Die Möllner Briefe“ followed by a talk with filmmaker Martina Priessner. The film follows İbrahim Arslan, who survived the racist arson attack in Mölln in 1992 as a seven-year-old, losing his sister, cousin and grandmother. He explores hundreds of letters of solidarity sent to those affected, which never arrived and were only discovered in an archive almost three decades later. The film portrays the survivors' lasting trauma and also reveals the great solidarity of which the victims knew nothing at the time.
