About

"Free at Heart" is a German coming-of-age drama. Sixteen-year-old Sebastian enjoys his teenage life among forests, fields and country roads, until the same-aged Kolja unexpectedly joins his family – a boy who immediately casts a spell on everyone. It feels like the beginning of a great love, but a secret connects the two and forbids them their feelings. The film by Max Hegewald is an intense, bold debut about a love that breaks every rule.
