Richard III.
RambaZamba Theater, Schönhauser Allee 36-39 Kulturbrauerei 10435 Berlin
About
„Richard III.“ is a theatre production based on William Shakespeare at the RambaZamba Theater. Director Julia Wissert and author Antigone Akgün rewrite Shakespeare's text, portraying Richard as a figure whose seizure of power grows out of exclusion, mockery and structural ableism. The production radically questions the traditional equation of Richard's physical „deformity“ with evil, asking who has access to power and visibility. The ensemble's diverse bodies and voices create a resonance chamber in which norm and deviation are continually renegotiated.
