About

dissent is a dystopian play set in a futuristic world where the state sponsors air conditioning and gives people free cigarettes in return for unquestioning compliance. It explores humanity's capacity for monstrous behaviour and our urge to resist freedom in the face of oppression. The world premiere is written and directed by Olivier and BAFTA award-winner debbie tucker green, known for ear for eye, stoning mary and dirty butterfly.
