Rocky
About
Rocky is a feature film, shown here as a cinema screening. The Italian-American amateur boxer Rocky Balboa lives in a poor neighborhood of Philadelphia, getting by on poorly paid jobs. When he unexpectedly receives the offer to fight the reigning heavyweight world champion Apollo Creed in a publicity-staged title bout, he senses the chance of his life. With iron discipline and unshakable will, he sets about training to show himself and the world what he is made of.

Critics
7.5Very good
Critics praise the moving underdog story, Stallone's heartfelt performance and gripping training drama. Faults include a predictable, sentimental plot and heavy-handed, occasionally indecisive direction.
